Cureé Cafe @ KL

Cureé is pronounced as “Ka-Ray”, it means curry in Japanese. This charming cafe is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Well, I have been hearing so much about this cafe and now I finally visit Cureé Cafe. The location of Cureé Cafe is near Jalan Imbi, it is along Jalan Changkat Thambi Dollah, the alley next to Berjaya Times Square KL.

Cureé has outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor Cureé Cafe has a very casual space as they also have a rooftop. The space is suitable for hosting a party or an event for people to gather around. Most of the interiors are made of rattan, wood, concrete furnishings and plants. There are also some adorable knick-knacks and drawings on the walls which I really loved.

The Cureé Cafe menu mostly focuses on Japanese cuisine but not sushi. They served Hokkaido-Style Soup Curry and Japanese Curry Rice. If you love Chicken Katsu and Japanese Curry, then you should enjoy your time and have a nice meal here. I had my delicious lunch at Cureé Cafe by ordering their savoury dishes. Among so many choices, I decided to stick to the basic dish as it is my first time here and I ordered the Japanese Curry with Chicken Katsu.

-Japanese Curry with Chicken Katsu RM16.80
This is the recommended dish of the Cureé Cafe. For the Japanese curry, we can choose the spiciness level of the curry. I chose a mild spiciness level. I love how the fragrant curry tasted which made the whole dish appetizing and it has the thick-ish texture. And the Chicken Katsu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. With the combination of the crispy Chicken Katsu and the tasty Japanese curry, the taste is really yummy, I would give it 9 out of 10.

While the Hokkaido Soup Curry and Japanese Curry are the most recommended dishes in Cureé, there are also some other delicious dishes on the menu which are worth a try. For myself, I ordered the Cheesy Currymayo Chicken Katsu Wrap with fries.

- Cheesy Curry Mayo Chicken Katsu Wrap with fries RM14.80
This dish is in the new menu ‘Pasta and Tortilla Wraps. It is a tortilla wrap filling with Chicken Katsu with Cheesy Curry Mayo and fries. The Chicken Katsu in the wrap is really crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fries are made of sweet potatoes and it is crunchy. And the aftertaste of the fries dipping into the Cheesy Curry Mayo gives you a flavoursome taste. I was smothered in that wonderful savoury Cheesy Curry Mayo. The portion of this dish is standardized as it is not too much and not too less.

I had also ordered an iced Matcha Latte by Matcha Hero Kyoto and a cup of hot Earl Grey Tea.

Overall, the customer service here was really good, they are friendly and helpful. And the food served fast and it was really yummy. Plus, the price of every dish is really affordable as most of the prices are around RM20. If you are a Japanese cuisine lover, I would recommend you to take a visit to Cureé Café.
